Cinematography
I shot my first roll of footage on a super8 camera when I was 10 years old and I've been hooked ever since. Since then I've been developing a personal aesthetic based on a minimalist lighting style with a lean towards higher contrast ratios with a nod towards a chiaroscuro look. But obviously the look is altered to fit the story, even if I have to create a completely new aesthetic for the film.
Film, particularly motion picture film, has been my favorite format ever since picking up a Super8 camera over 20 years ago. In todays digital world, it is becoming harder to find cinematographers who specialize in the film formats. Not only do i still shoot plenty of film, but I currently have my own gear from Super8 to Super16mm. This allows me to offer you not only 20+ years of input on how to shoot your project, but it also saves you the cost of renting camera gear.
